Four more days 'till October!
I cannot believe we are already going into October. There are so many things we are looking forward to in the coming months. Fall and Winter are my favorite seasons. I can't wait to start wearing sweaters and hoodies again. In October, we are going to be doing a baby dedication for Peytann, celebrating her birthday, and so much more. Also next month, we are going to have our 2 bedroom apartment all to ourselves. My sister in law and her family have been living with us for almost two years now, and they will be moving out in a couple of weeks. Then sometime in November, we are getting a puppy! How exciting, right?! We've got a lot of renovating to do with our apartment; walls to paint, carpets to clean, and our bedrooms to decorate. I am so excited for Pey to have her own room. Though, Paul is not too keen on the idea of her sleeping in a separate room, but hey, she can't sleep with us forever. She does pretty well sleeping in her own bed, but it has been side-cared to our bed for awhile now. When she wakes up in the middle of the night, she just crawls over into our bed. The first few nights will be hard. Much harder for Paul and I, I'm sure.
This week is going by extremely slow for me. Maybe because I am anticipating for October to come sooner. All I want to do is be on Pinterest and pin all my room inspirations. Here is something I want for our living room. Most of the items can be found at Ikea. I am loving the rug. Our couch we have right now is a forest green color so instead of getting a new couch, we are going to be getting a red sofa cover. I actually haven't decided if I want red or beige/cream...What do you guys think?
Our carpet is a tan color and has so many stains so I'm hoping this rug will cover up most of that. Then the Expedit book shelf is huge and only $119 at Ikea---Ikea Family pricing. It'll be a great way to hide away our little nic nacs and all my hobby stuff. I'd really like a big art piece on our living room wall and this looks great with the color scheme I'm going for. And lastly, a cute fancy coffee table. We have a plain black one that I may be DIYing into a something nice. I want it to be simple. Our bedroom will be simple as well. I am just having a hard time choosing what theme and color scheme to go with for Pey's room. You can check out my Pinterest board of ideas for her room. Click HERE to view.

Isn't this bedroom adorable? I saw it on Pinterest and the source link was from designPOST interiors. This one caught my eye because of the colors. The walls and the carpet are the same colors as ours, so it's easy to imagine what the room could look like. I love the touch of gold with the wall decals. Pey has the same Jenny Lind crib that we can remove one side of the railing and make into a toddler bed. We are contemplating if we will stay in the master bedroom or make it into Pey's bedroom. The smaller bedroom has a sliding door that leads to a small patio outside and it doesn't ease our mind that there's a gateway to the outside in her room. Plus, the bigger the room the more to decorate. She has a circus tent, and KidKraft kitchen, and table/chairs set that I'd love to incorporate into her room some how. My mind goes in all sorts of directions when thinking about what to do for her room. One step a time I guess. If I were to rate what areas of our apartment I'd want to deco first, it would be: living room, Pey's room, bathroom, kitchen/dining, our room, and then the two patios we have. I hope we have the whole apartment finished by Spring of 2014. I can't wait to have people over and entertain guests. It's definitely something to look forward to. I am most excited about putting up our first Christmas tree this year now that we'll actually have room for it!

First posting...
Ok, so here we go. I've signed up for so many blogs in hopes of documenting our lives and memories that don't make it onto pictures. I really want to keep up with blogging this time. There have been a handful of times during the day when I think to myself, "I should blog that!" So here I am, trying again. I guess, first off, let me introduce my little family. I am Najelle, Mom, Daddy's name is Paul, and of course our little spunky toddler, Peytann. We were blessed to have her in our lives October of 2011. She will be turning 2 in a couple of weeks and like everyone says, time sure does fly. I am a Nurse for adults with special needs who I've been working with for over 5 years now. They are like my own children, even though most are far older than me. Paul is a computer tech in that big blue electronic store ;). We live in sunny SoCal and frequent the Happiest Place on Earth.
The URL for this blog, lifeofpey, seemed short and sweet so that's why I chose it. It's also my Instagram username for my "get healthy" journey, if you want to check it out. Our blog title comes from us always being busy and our last name is Bustamante, so Bustas for short.
I love to DIY and lately, Pinterest has been my best friend. I am currently thinking up room decoration ideas for Pey's room, so be on the lookout for that. I have many hobbies and interests...crochet, sewing, couponing, make-up, and the list goes on. So this blog will consists of what I'm interested in at the moment. I like to hobby hop, haha! It will mostly be me blogging, but I hope to have Paul do some blogging as well.
I think that's it for now. Till next time...
